Senior Project Engineer

Who are we looking for?

This role will suit a positive, forward thinking, commercially astute, technical qualified individual, with experience in program management across civil, infrastructure and transport engineering. The role requires strong interpersonal skills to interface between clients and Vitruvius resources, as well as professional technical competence. The candidate must have or be capable of working in large scale rail projects.

The Brief

The Senior Project Engineer will primarily lead and drive the delivery of projects for our infrastructure, transport and civil clients. The role will be responsible for representing Vitruvius and interacting professionally with client representatives ensuring consistent, on time, in full and in specification execution of project work to enable clients to meet their business expectations and KPI’s.

This will include technical development, design, engineering, quality assurance, site surveys, related field work, planning activities, progress reporting and implementation of planned work schedules. There will be a requirement to supervise large scale civil works with interpretation of investigations that enable proposed recommendations and corrective actions.

In addition, the role has input toward the future direction of Vitruvius and will be encouraged to explore new business and client opportunities.

Above all the Senior Project Engineer will be a safety leader through implementation and adherence to safety plans HSE legislation, codes and practises.

The Senior Project Engineer will:

  • 10-15 years’ experience
  • Experience within a project team
  • Previous experience in stakeholder management
  • Understands commercial aspects of projects
  • Well organised planner able manage multiple objectives
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Civil Engineer Degree and Chartership
